Moyes Out ( Released )
Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore.
I'm fed up, we can do much better

Off all the pundits and ex pros, the one that was most spasticated was Ferdinand.

In the space of a few days in the same newspaper he had said;

‘Disgruntled West Ham fans are ridiculous for waiting Moyes out and they should be careful what we wish for. What are you really expecting?’

‘Moyes had us fearing opponents at Manchester United. We’d gone from other teams fearing us to spending a lot of our training time preparing on how to stop other teams’

Quite possibly the thickest of thick pundits. We’re not expecting Manchester United level success, but that doesn’t mean we have to settle for shit football.

Agree with all of that, only prestigiously wealthy ownership gets you a let off from being downplayed for the established 'bluechip' clubs in the global brand of 'English Premier League'.

The ones I've discussed this with aren't that baffled, especially after the weekends game. I wouldn't even say it was a particularly bad performance from us compared to how we've played the rest of the season.

I wonder what happened to that contract he was meant to be offered in December? I bet he's kicking himself now as it's cost him millions.

---

If Moyes signed in December, he stays for the duration of his contract. No way would Sullivan be getting rid of him if he had to pay him off.

Six months too fucking late, the cunt ruined what could have been a good season.

Wanker that I will not be seeing off at the weekend.

Sold my seats for Saturday... Imagine having to watch the likes of feet tearing up over that obnoxious cunt.. I feel a bit of vomit coming up just reading it.

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
I think the media loved Moyes because he was guaranteed to keep West Ham "in their place".

That place, in the media's eyes, was just outside the "Big 6". with an occasional (failed) pop at a national cup or other "insignificant" trophy.

Newcastle would have gotten the same treatment over the last 2 years except for the fact that the media are very aware of the regard their owners have for those in the media crossing them.

This had nothing to do with clubs' fortunes ebbing and flowing and all to do with preventing the change in the layout of the premier league, who's sponsors pay their wages (The companies employing them were simply handling the cash transactions, taking a commission for doing so).

The sponsors wanted no change because that gave them a solid historical base on which to hang their products across the globe; if you're unsure about that, just look at the media minutes/column inches about Man United's possible failure to collect their entitled spot in a European competition this year

By your own words, you walk your dog during matches. No wonder you aren't fed up with the dross served up by Moyes.

Also, what planet do you really live on? You have continually abused me for having different opinions about this cunt, and then ask me and others to come over to say hello? If I came over, it would be to smack your gib you imbecile twat.

As for Moyes, I will certainly applaud on his way out for good knowing I will never ever se him again in the dugout.

Good riddance to both of you

Up there with the man who won us two FA Cups back in the days when it was coveted almost as much as the Div 1 title?
Took the great Liverpool side to a replay in the League Cup final after being cheated by the OFFSIDE Sammy Lee
And made a European final when you had to beat a team containing Arie Haan & Rob Rensenbrink to lift the cup.

I'm looking forward to giving him the ovation he deserves on Saturday, might even tear up a little.

He has been our best manager since Lyall, up there with him in my opinion, and I will be sad to see him go but it is time.

I'm hoping that Daveyg, keepdreaming and some of the other knicker wetters come and say hello to me in person but let's be honest none of them actually attend matches.

I would like to ask all these tv and media experts who are saying “ be careful what you wish for” if they would swop Moyes for the current manager at their beloved clubs, why is it ok for “ little old West Ham” to play absolutely dire football, we want some entertainment and attacking football also.

Rather as other fans are baffled by us being pleased/relaxed about the Moyes departure so to ami puzzled by Hull sacking Liam Rosenior.

I'm not saying it is a hard luck story. Just stating the proper reasons why he left. Wasn't to do with signings, it was to do with things he had been promised around transfer budget which were broken.

Mashed

The last two league campaigns have certainly been failures in my opinion. He turned us into a good side the first two seasons, then spent the next two being terrible.

Winning in Prague bought him way too much time and leeway, he should have gone before the World Cup in 2022, that's how long we've had to endure the same old dire shit for.

I think we used to buy those 80 year olds :-)

Thats the media too. Always about reputation and past achievement and experience. Probably because thats all most ex player pundits have left themselves. Its not without value but current form and “now” is what matters. Moyes was a good manager results wise in european competition with us in part imo because most teams had not encountered his tactics for a decade ( low block , counter and set piece). In the bread and butter Premier league he oversaw a good 2 years followed by a pretty awful second 2 years so it was time to change

I agree its his time to go. What I don't agree with is people making out he's been terrible and his tenure has been some sort of stain on our existence. Under him we've certainly had more good than bad and the most success in decades.

You could ask that Arsenal fan why they dumped a manager who got them in the CL every year and when they sacked him Europa was their best bet!

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
Chim - spot on
I’ve actually seen an Arsenal fan online asking how on earth can a club get rid of a manager that’s won them a trophy

I can’t get my head round how people can’t understand how your past performances have got anything to do with what’s currently happening
Alex Ferguson was the most successful premier league manager of all time, if he’d of developed dementia during his later years managing there and had started fielding a kettle and a toaster up front, would Man Utd of allowed that to continue based on what he’d done for the club up to that point
And on that note why do players retire????? Why don’t they continue playing well into their 80’s, they used to be good so why does it matter that they’re not anymore

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
The last time I saw shit like this over a manager was Allardyce but AFTER that it was Wenger at Arsenal.

The Allardyce love in taught me enough about management that when talking about Wenger with Arsenal supporters (I live in north London) I would always say 'no supporters of any other club can REALLY give good advice because you have to watch every game, judge his substitutions, listen to his media and watch who he buys and sells-and no supporter of another club can be THAT arsed about your club, whoever you are'.

If any of your other team supporters give you the 'be careful what you wish for' ask if they'd like him at THEIR club'?

Football supporters know fuck all about the ins and outs at other clubs. Pundits know even less.
